Six Sentence Sunday #15

October 9, 2011 by Angela

So after last week’s break I’M BACK!! This week’s Six is from my THIRD! book in my series (which still needs a title!). The first book is my debut novel Sometimes It’s Fate. The second is contracted to come out in Spring 2012 Boots on the Ground and the third is currently being titled “Sometimes 3”. In this six Jason and David might be a bit naughty ;)!

*~*
“Turn around,” he ordered. David did and Jason immediately put a foot between his legs, he grabbed David’s wrist and pressed it to the post of the railing then repeated the process with the other hand. “Whatever you do, you are not to let go of that railing, do you understand?” Jason squeezed his dick to make his point clear.
“What if I do,” David challenged.
“Then I’ll cuff you to the posts and leave you there as my sex toy,” Jason growled back.
*~*

Oh my!! Naughty boys! :)!
I hope you take a moment to go and visit other Six Sentence Sunday Authors.

Why #WW #FF and now #MM don’t work.

September 28, 2011 by Angela

Social Media is growing faster than most people can keep up.  My first twitter account was to follow a celeb (who I still follow today) and to talk with of my friends it’s odd places. I now have four different twitter accounts all following different people, and doing different things.

I have to say that in the three plus years I have been on twitter (wow hard to believe it’s been that long!) never followed some on a #FF or a #WW if it was just a massive list of names. There are those out there (we all know who so I won’t name names) who every Wednesday, Friday, and now Monday list almost all of their followers in a series of #FF or #WW and now #MM tweets.

It can be annoying to read your twitter feed and see nothing but one or two or three people’s for ages as they weekly list EVERYONE to follow.

I’m sorry but that just doesn’t work. Once upon a time #FF was awesome. You found new people to follow, new celeb’s, new interests. Now it’s just another thing to filter out on tweetdeck.

And don’t even get me started on the RT’s. Someone posts a massive list of say 10 twitter names and you’re included. The problem is you don’t know the other 9 people. Then all of a sudden you’re being tweeted at by 9+ people as they RT that original tweet. Since you have no idea who any of these people are and why you should follow them, you just ignore it, or worse block them to stop the same thing from happening NEXT Week.  If no one tells you WHY you should follow anyone on the massive list of names I doubt you will follow any!

Then there is the people who RT every #WW #FF and #MM they get. Meaning after the initial blast of lists of names you get another set. Again trust me, most people don’t care.

I’m not saying this to be mean or bitter, trust me I get plenty of the above. But I seriously question how well they work, if at all.

Even people who say “Cool authors for #FF…” and then list 6 or 7 names are missing the point.

I challenge you for 2 whole weeks to do this. Pick TWO people to mention. Then write something about them like. “#FF for @PersonA because they love snowmen and @PersonB for their new book release” you’ll generate a lot more buzz and feedback than:

“#FF @PersonA, @PersonB @PersonC @PersonD @PersonE @PersonF @PersonG @PersonH @PersonI @PersonJ @PersonK @PersonL @PersonM @PersonN @PersonO”

I just suggested that you follow 15 different “people” and I bet you don’t want to go and follow any of them.

The when it comes to thanking people for #WW , #FF and #MM. Why don’t you just thank them, and say something nice about them rather than a list, or worse just a RT! I guarantee your list will be much happier.

Six Sentence Sunday #13

September 18, 2011 by Angela

Lucky #13 this week.

Again here are Six from “Boots on the Ground” the follow up to my debut novel Sometimes it’s Fate! Which can be found from the publisher or any major E-book seller!

*~*

Jason felt his legs quiver as David started tonguing him in earnest. “Oh god don’t make me come.”

David planted a kiss on his ass cheek, “Usually you’re screaming for me to make you come.”

Jason flopped over to one side his face coming level with David’s semi-hard cock. He kissed his hip, “I want to fuck you still.”

“Oh thank god, that plug is still driving me crazy.”

*~*

Ooo!! Jason and David being naughty *G*! with toys!!!!

Oh! I’m going to be visiting Carrie Ann Ryan later this week and David and Jason will be answering YOUR questions. Have a burning question you want answered by the boys? Feel free to leave it in the “comment” question.  We’ll do our best to get it answered.

Want more David and Jason? Check out their newly minted Twitter account. Dorky boys at it’s finest. Updated by me and a couple of other people for your entertainment.

Six Sentence Sunday #12!

September 11, 2011 by Angela

I want to thank everyone who stopped by last week. Sorry if I missed your blog, a migraine had me sidelined last week.

However I so have some exciting news to share! Boots on the Ground the follow up to my debut novel Sometimes It’s Fate has just been contracted! Look for it in Spring 2012!! In the mean time here is a Six from “Boots”

*~*

“Seems like someone is bombing a neighbouring cave system.”

“Well is that someone friendly or unfriendly,” Ash asked.

“Depends on who you ask, Sharif, said that the area had seen a lot of bombing by American drones in the past few weeks, trying to drive the insurgents out into the open. That being said the caves they’re currently bombing are empty. “

“If they’re empty why are they bombing them?”

Jason shrugged, “Who knows, old intelligence, incorrect scouting, missed target, heck, it’s the American’s they’ll bomb anything just for an excused to hear things go boom.”

*~*

More exciting news on Sometimes! It made Phaze’s top 20 list of August at #10! Not bad for only being on sale nine days! Thanks everyone for the support! I hope it climbs up higher in September!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out other great Six Sentence Sunday authors!!

Boots on the Ground

September 10, 2011 by Angela

Wee!!

In case you missed my exciting news! Phaze just contracted the follow-up to my debut novel Sometimes It’s Fate

“Boots on the Ground” is due out in the Spring of 2012!! It features Jason and David Plus! two new characters Ash and Matthew.

Here is the blurb (subject to change):

Ash Cooper knows him and, his Civilian Police partner, Jason McCarty need to do one thing- Stay Alive. An IED attack leaves both men stranded in the high desert of Afghanistan and running from insurgents. With damaged satellite phones and Ash being injured their only hope is to take refuge with a group of civilians until they can be rescued. But rescuers don’t come and as the days turn to weeks Ash and Jason think about home, the partners they left behind, and when all hope is lost they turn to each other in a struggle for survival.

I’m so excited to bring these boys back :)!
